Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

I used to think that it is sinful to have doubts about my faith. There are all kinds of situations and events that may make us feel that way. Especially when you see what is happening in this world, how much evil there is, or something terrible is happening in your life. Yes, we do have doubts, but there is nothing wrong with that. Even Mary, the Mother of God, had doubts, but she also had a strong faith. On this feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we hear that the angel Gabriel came to Mary to announce to her that she would become the Mother of God. As you remember, she didn’t say ‘yes’ right away. Instead, she asked: “how can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” She wasn’t sure; she had doubts. But at the same time, she also had great faith, and she accepted God’s plan. I have doubts, you have doubts, but always remember to ask God in those moments of doubt to ask God for deeper faith. Some things may seem impossible to us, but God knows what He is doing.
