Do you know anyone that has been away from his or her faith, someone who is hurting, a person that does not believe in Jesus Christ? We all know somebody like that. So, today Jesus calls us, His disciples, to bring His peace, love and forgiveness to that person. And no, we don’t need to aggressively try to convert another person, because that may bring the opposite effect. However, we should express to them our love, our acceptance, and we should pray for that person. Because this is what we Christians are called to do. Today on the feast of Saint Luke the Evangelist we are provided with a beautiful gospel story in which Jesus sends His disciples to go and to bring His love and peace to others, especially to those who have not heard about Him yet. Let us always remember that the same mission is entrusted to us today.
