Joseph was a righteous man. God chose Joseph to take care of Mary and Jesus because he was a righteous man. If you look up in the dictionary what righteous mean, you will find that it describes the person that is morally right, that is virtuous, and that is a person of good conduct. God knew that only a person like that could take good care of the Holy Family. Joseph is an example for all of us because we are called to take care of Jesus in this world. We will be able to do this only if we become righteous people. Would God consider me a righteous person? Would He ask me to take care of Jesus and bring Him to this world?
