Nothing makes us more disappointed or even angry than when those who should be our leaders, who should protect us and pray for us, take advantage of their role, and use it only for their own gain and benefits. Sadly, that happens almost everywhere but even in our church when some priests, pastors, and bishops end up lying, stealing, and mis-using others’ trust. It is so hard to accept all this and even to try to understand it. Why would God allow this to happen? They are His chosen leaders, yet they live sinfully and scandalize others. To people like that, God says today -- WOE TO YOU! “Woe to you, you hypocrites. You lock the Kingdom of heaven before men. You do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow entrance to those trying to enter.” One day, all of us will be standing in front of God, and then He will judge us accordingly. We must pray for those who cause scandals and for ourselves, that one day we will not hear -- WOE TO YOU!
