It is sad that some people choose not to come to Sunday mass. Some don’t care at all; some are making excuses. Some people have stopped going to church because they were hurt by a certain priest or because of some other scandals in the Church. We read in the gospel today that people were bringing little children to Jesus, so He could touch and bless them. However, “the disciples rebuked them.” And “When Jesus saw this, he became indignant and said to them, ‘Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’” I think that today Jesus invites all of us, even if there is something that may prevent you from coming close to Jesus, because He wants you close. There might be many sinful things happening even in our Catholic Church but that should not discourage us from coming to the Lord. Also think: do you want to be like those disciples who rebuked others from coming to Jesus? We need to pray and ask God for wisdom and courage that would allow us to bring others to Him, and not only by our words, but especially by our witness.
