We can’t limit God to our own agenda, to our own rules and regulations. However, our world today tends to do exactly that. Keep your God, your religion, and your faith to yourself - they will tell us. We people keep forgetting that God is the one who creates the laws that we should follow and obey and not the other way around. Those Pharisees from the gospel reading today get angry at Jesus and His disciples because - according to them - Jesus was doing what was unlawful during the holy day of Sabbath. That’s why Jesus reminds them that “the Son of Man is lord of the sabbath.” Do you try to follow God’s law and commands, are you joyfully fulfilling His will in your own life? Or just like those Pharisees, you are trying to fit God into your own agenda?
