Saturday of the Twenty Sixth Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

Jesus said to His disciples: “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it.” Really - how blessed those twelve were! They were right there, so close to the Son of God. They could touch Him, listen to Him, follow Him, pray with Him. At times I envy them, until I realize how blessed I am today, that I have Jesus here with me present in the most Holy Eucharist. Because “many prophets and kings desired to see what I see, but did not see it, and to hear what I can hear, but did not hear it.” Yes, even today we can hear, we can taste, we can pray with the Son of God, who is right here with us. How blessed are we!
