Jesus said: “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvestto send out laborers for his harvest.” Today Jesus invites us to pray for good and holy vocations to the priesthood and religious life. We see that our Church struggles getting new vocations but “the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few.” Ask yourself today - what do I do to support my Church with new ‘workers’. Do you often pray for vocations? Do you support that young man or woman who is thinking of following Christ in a vocation to priesthood or consecrated life? We must keep asking the master of the harvest for more laborers. Yet at the same time, we need to offer our help by working in God’s harvest.
