Holy mass, the Eucharist - the greatest feast that we can often and freely participate in. During that special time, we are being fed with the Word of God and with the Body and Blood of Jesus. We are also being blessed by our Lord. It is so sad that still so many people don’t take advantage of this gift from heaven. Some can’t come, but others choose not to come. That’s why we, who go to mass and receive Jesus, are now called to bring Him to others. We are called to distribute to others that ‘heavenly food’ that we ourselves have been fed. We read that after Jesus performed the miracle of the multiplication of the food, He “gave thanks, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied.” In a similar way, we are being fed by Jesus - with His blessings, words, and with the Holy Eucharist. But right after that, we should take those gifts and ‘in turn give them to the crowd’ - to those who missed them, to those who are hungry for God.
