Wednesday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

Writer's picture: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

When Jesus and his disciples arrived at Bethsaida, people brought to him a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village.” I think it is important to notice that Jesus took that blind man outside the village. In another gospel we will read that Jesus took Him aside, away from the crowds. I think that Jesus wants to show us that He treats each one of them in a very personal and individual way. People ask sometimes - why do we have to confess to a priest, why can’t we do a general confession and absolution? The answer is in the gospel reading today. it is simply because Jesus wants to spend time aside, away from everybody with you. He wants to listen to you, talk to you, focus only on you without any distractions of this world.
