Sometimes we look at other people and we envy them in our hearts for what they have. But we Christians shouldn’t. An older sick person, for example, may envy a little bit her young neighbor who is strong, handsome, and healthy. Some people may wish that their child could have been as smart as the child of his friend and have gone to a better school. Or you may envy a little bit your relative his great job, beautiful house, and a lot of free time. Yet you keep struggling in life. See we can look at life from two perspectives - we can either torture ourselves by only seeing those who have more than we have, or we can thank God for what we have and notice those people around us that are less fortunate that we are. We always will be happier knowing that we are so blessed by God with what we have and who we are. We just can’t forget that God doesn’t look at what we have here, but He looks at our good deeds and what we do for others. “Rejoice and leap for joy on that day! Behold, your reward will be great in heaven.”
